The Service is an educational platform open to anyone seeking to learn. By using the Service, you confirm that you have the legal capacity to enter into this agreement, or that you have obtained consent from someone with such capacity on your behalf.

Quantato is an interactive educational platform providing learning content in machine learning, mathematics, and related technical subjects, with both free and premium subscription options. The Service includes:

• Interactive visualisations and educational content
• Coding exercises and practice problems
• Progress tracking and learning analytics
• Access to various educational "realms" covering different subject areas

Free and Premium Content: The Service offers both free and premium content. Core educational materials are available at no cost. Certain advanced content, features, and learning materials are available only to users with an active paid subscription.

Subject to your compliance with these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to access and use the Service for your personal, non-commercial educational purposes.

You may:

• Access the Service on a single device at a time
• Complete exercises and track your learning progress
• Take personal notes for your own reference

You may NOT:

• Copy, reproduce, distribute, or republish any content from the Service
• Share your account credentials with any other person
• Use screen recording, screenshots, or any other method to capture content for redistribution
• Create derivative works based on our content
• Sublicence, sell, resell, or commercially exploit the Service or any content
• Use automated systems (bots, scrapers, crawlers) to access the Service
• Circumvent, disable, or interfere with security features of the Service
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Service

Any breach of these restrictions constitutes a material breach of these Terms and may result in immediate termination of your access without refund.

To access certain features, you must create an account. You may register using your email address or through Google OAuth authentication. You agree to:

• Provide accurate, current, and complete registration information
• Maintain the security and confidentiality of your login credentials
• Notify us immediately of any unauthorised access to your account
• Accept responsibility for all activities under your account

One Account Per User: Each individual may maintain only one account. Creating multiple accounts to circumvent restrictions or share access is prohibited and grounds for termination of all associated accounts.

Account Sharing Prohibited: Your account is for your sole, personal use. Sharing login credentials with others is strictly prohibited. We monitor for unusual access patterns and may suspend accounts where sharing is detected.

Free Content: Core educational content is available free of charge. No payment is required to access free materials.

Premium Subscriptions: Access to premium content requires a paid subscription. The following terms apply to paid subscriptions:

• Subscription fees are charged according to the selected billing cycle (monthly or annual)
• Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled before the renewal date
• You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings
• We reserve the right to change subscription prices with at least 30 days' notice

14-Day Cooling-Off Period: If you are located in the European Union or United Kingdom, you have the right to cancel your subscription within 14 days of purchase for a full refund, in accordance with the Consumer Contracts Regulations. To exercise this right, contact us at billing@quantato.com within 14 days of your initial purchase. This right applies to new subscriptions only, not to renewals.

Refund Policy: Outside of the 14-day cooling-off period:

• Monthly subscriptions: No refunds for partial months
• Annual subscriptions: Pro-rata refunds may be provided at our discretion for unused months if you cancel within the first 30 days
• Refunds are processed to the original payment method within 5-10 business days

Access Upon Cancellation: If you cancel your subscription, you will retain access to premium content until the end of your current billing period. After that, your access will revert to free content only.

The Service and all content, features, and functionality (including but not limited to all information, software, text, displays, images, video, audio, design, selection, and arrangement) are owned by Quantato, its licensors, or other providers and are protected by international copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret, and other intellectual property laws.

Our proprietary content includes:

• All educational content, visualisations, and interactive elements
• The "Professor Spud" character and all related mascot imagery
• The Quantato name, logo, and brand elements
• Realm names (The Grid, The Flow, The Mist, The Peak, The Neural, etc.)
• Software code, algorithms, and technical implementations

No Transfer of Rights: These Terms do not grant you any ownership rights in the Service or its content. The licence granted is limited to access and use as expressly permitted by these Terms.

We take the protection of our intellectual property seriously. Unauthorised copying, distribution, or sharing of our content is theft and will be vigorously pursued.

We reserve the right to:

• Monitor access patterns to detect unauthorised sharing or copying
• Terminate accounts engaged in piracy without refund
• Pursue civil remedies including injunctive relief and damages
• Report criminal infringement to appropriate authorities
• Seek statutory damages where available under applicable law

DMCA and Takedown: If you believe your copyrighted work has been copied in a way that constitutes copyright infringement, please contact us with a detailed notice including identification of the copyrighted work and the infringing material.

In the course of using the Service, you will generate data including quiz responses, learning progress, code submissions, and preferences ("User Data").

Your Rights: You retain ownership of your User Data. You may request export or deletion of your User Data at any time through your account settings or by contacting us.

Our Rights: You grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to use, process, and store your User Data for the purposes of:

• Providing and improving the Service
• Generating anonymised, aggregated analytics
• Personalising your learning experience
• Technical maintenance and security

The Service integrates with third-party services including:

• Supabase: For authentication and database services
• Google OAuth: For optional sign-in functionality
• Payment Processor: For processing subscription payments

Your use of these third-party services is subject to their respective terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the practices of third-party service providers.

No Professional Advice: The educational content provided through the Service is for general educational purposes only. It does not constitute professional, academic, or career advice.

No Guarantee of Accuracy: While we strive for accuracy, we make no representations or warranties that all content is complete, accurate, reliable, current, or error-free. Mathematical and technical content may contain errors or simplifications for pedagogical purposes.

No Guarantee of Outcomes: We make no guarantees regarding learning outcomes, academic performance, career advancement, or any other results from using the Service.

NO WARRANTY: WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, SECURE, OR ERROR-FREE, THAT DEFECTS WILL BE CORRECTED, OR THAT THE SERVICE IS FREE OF VIRUSES OR OTHER HARMFUL COMPONENTS.

LIMITATION OF LIABILITY: TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL QUANTATO, ITS DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, PARTNERS, AGENTS, SUPPLIERS, OR AFFILIATES BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, RESULTING FROM:

• Your access to or use of (or inability to access or use) the Service
• Any conduct or content of any third party on the Service
• Any content obtained from the Service
• Unauthorised access, use, or alteration of your transmissions or content

MAXIMUM LIABILITY: Our total liability to you for all claims arising from or relating to these Terms or your use of the Service shall not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim, or (b) one hundred pounds sterling (GBP 100).

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Quantato and its officers, directors, employees, agents, licensors, and suppliers from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, judgments, awards, losses, costs, expenses, or fees (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or relating to:

• Your violation of these Terms
• Your use of the Service
• Your violation of any rights of a third party
• Your violation of any applicable laws, rules, or regulations

By You: You may terminate your account at any time through your account settings or by contacting us. Termination does not entitle you to any refund of prepaid fees.

By Us: We may suspend or terminate your access immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason, including if you breach these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Service will immediately cease.

Effect of Termination: Upon termination, we may delete your account and User Data. Certain provisions of these Terms shall survive termination, including intellectual property provisions, disclaimers, limitations of liability, and indemnification obligations.

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will provide notice of material changes by posting the updated Terms on the Service with a new "Last updated" date. For significant changes, we may also notify you via email.

Your continued use of the Service after any modifications indicates your acceptance of the updated Terms. If you do not agree to the modified Terms, you must stop using the Service.

Any dispute arising from or relating to these Terms or the Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

Informal Resolution: Before filing any formal legal proceedings, you agree to first contact us to attempt to resolve any dispute informally. We will endeavour to resolve disputes within 30 days of notification.

Entire Agreement: These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and Quantato regarding the Service and supersede all prior agreements and understandings.

Severability: If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.

Waiver: Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms shall not constitute a waiver of such right or provision.

Assignment: You may not assign or transfer these Terms or your rights hereunder without our prior written consent. We may assign these Terms without restriction.
